      Ultrasonography: well circumscribed fluid collection of the iliopsoas bursa (B) located just behind the femoral artery.

       

      Corticosteroid injection under ultrasonographic guidance.

      Stretch injury ( ) of the distal and central muscle-tendon-unit of the iliac medial fibers muscle with mild local hyperhemia ( ).

       

       

      Normal anatomy of the distal musculotendinous junction of the psoas iliac muscle : the iliac medial fibers (MFI) and the iliac lateral fibers (LFI) are separated from one another by a thin fascia ( ) that is uncomplete posteriorly.
